    Going to add morning news updates and work on the formatting of the post today.

  • ‘Sizable proportion’ of Dems might vote for McCain if their candidate isn’t chosen. According to a poll, a quarter of Clinton supporters would vote for McCain if Barack is the nominee. This data is basically showing the result of a long protracted fight between Hillary and Barack. Each campaign is shoring up enough negative opposition toward the other that when one of them eventually gets the nomination, the other’s supporters will carry a grudge and vote for McCain. Please be classy and drop out, Hildog.

  • Iraq’s prime minister Nuri al-Maliki gave Shiite militants battling security forces in Basra a 72-hour deadline to surrender their weapons.
  • Gnarls Barkley put out a new album called The Odd Couple.

    Supposedly a decent sophomore effort, but “most of Dangermouse’s warm, organic vibes here are dark, slow-creeping, blunted, psychedelic ones.” And, in a nutshell, “this album might be more focused than its predecessor, but what it’s focused on is a the kind of murky, paranoid weight and depth that doesn’t much make for chart-climbing singles.”
