you’re a regular Joe Custard

The last presidential debate was last night. This one, shockingly, wasn’t as boring because each candidate “traded jabs.” They also said “Joe the Plumber” a lot. McCain’s grouchy and ornery mood will surely be parodied by SNL this week, especially his constant eye-rolling while Obama was speaking. Again, rather than interpret what went down myself, my favorite post-debate analysis comes from Politico.com. Check out their article here.

Here’s a nice post-debate screen capture that proves the old saying: “A screen capture is worth a thousand words.”

Just to get an idea of what will certainly be lampooned by SNL, check out this McCain eye-rolling montage:

…And the Obama campaign has already made use of this eye-rolling footage to make a new anti-McCain attack ad.

But enough about politics! Let’s get to some fun links!

  • From regular Joe Custard, a humorous website of terrible analogies used in high school papers. Argyll Manning’s favorite one is: “Her vocabulary was as bad as, like, whatever.”
  • With Halloween right around the corner, you’ve probably been thinking to yourself: “What are the top ten worst ‘treats’ to receive on Halloween?” Well some website put together the list for you!
  • Need a new desktop background? Check out this gallery of Autumn pics from Boston.com.
  • And finally, for your viewing pleasure, a Kentucky man breaks a world record by shoving 11 live cockroaches in his mouth at once.
